48 Beautiful Hours In LA with Mitch Crews, Matt Pagan, Nate Yeomans And More
Two winter days of peaches and cream.
Summer in California has just about passed. And the anticipation for combo swell, or at the very least a hurricane to swing through the greater SoCal region is boiling. So we’ll take some time and reflect on 48 hours in Los Angeles that were damn good. LA’s an illusion; it can be picture perfect, but picture perfect and makable are very different things. And, if you can find that sneaky section, pat yourself on the back you just caught a unicorn (not a Pokemon). Over these two days last winter the sandbars were just right, the NW swell swung through at the right angle, and there were a few A-Grade waves to be plucked out of the energy. This edit features, in order of appearance: Matt Mohagen (a local underground charger who once took out Andy Irons at the Pipeline Monster Energy Pro in ’08) with the wave of the clip, Nate Yeomans, Cheyne Magnusson, Mitch Crews and Matt Pagan.
