Noah Collins And The Thrill Of A Los Angeles Winter
Proof that (very) occasionally a tunnel opens up in LA.
The City of Angels had a winter worthy of prolonged reference. And while it was primarily beachbreak closures with the occasional opening, the point is there were actually waves. Something the relatively surfed-deprived county thrived on. LA has a population (18.7 mil) that falls just short of all Australia’s (23.1 mil). The good waves are kept under wraps and there’s a healthy aura of localism; it’s a necessity. The neighbouring Orange County, unfortunately, can’t say the same. It’s a goddamn free-for-all down there. So here’s the South Bay-bred Noah Collins, from home to the North Shore and Nica. Besides his sun kissed hair, cocoa butter tan and joyous demeanour the gent can work that surfboard.
