“Yes. Please. Or Maybe No” starring Kai Hing
Kai Hing just turned 17 and scored a driver’s licence. The first thing he did was drive down to Shane Fletcher’s house with a hard drive and ask him to cut a clip. yes. please. maybe no is the result. And it is excellent. This is a curation of footage from life as a travelling 16-year-old junior pro. Locations include a Simeulue, in the Aceh Province, originally intended as a four-day strike mission but ended with lost baggage, planes catching fire and airport sleeps Then there’s a stint in New Zealand, some time in Taiwan and a more recent sojourn to the Mentawais. This is dazzlingly good output for a 16-year-old. Kai carries impressive control through all the above-lip usual suspects, but can hold a rail line real well, too. And like any respectable Queenslander, he’s very handy in the tube. Blindingly bright future here. Six minutes really goddamn well spent.
