Makua Rothman, the right line at Cape Solander, NSW

Nope, we certainly aren’t done with Sunday’s Ours session yet. Makua Rothman, as we’ve mentioned, was in the lineup and in between throwing super friendly shakas, was taking on anything he could get at. With Koby Abberton driving, who knows the place better than anyone, Makua was into some of the best waves of the afternoon before snapping his board and jumping on the ski as driver. Growing up on the North Shore, Makua is obviously killer in the big stuff. How about the high line he’s taking here? Makua’s currently in Sydney for the Red Bull Cape Fear press conference, which happens this morning. He trained with Johnny Gannon at Bondi Icebergs yesterday and is looking real tuned up, which means he’ll be a deadly good addition to the event as a competitor.
