RIP To Surfing’s Greatest Dog/Fashionista/Influencer: Pam

Pamlovesferrariboys will never die.

It was about three years ago when I was introduced to Pam.

The four-legged fugitive of Dane Reynolds and his then-girlfriend, now-wife, Courtney Jaedtke, Pam was a brown and black bulldog of a gentle demeanor, whose Instagram account, @pamlovesferrariboys, was one of the most fun and creative manifestations the social platform has ever seen.

Pam’s fame began when a video of her “photo-bombing” her human brother, Sammy Boo, went viral on IG then spread to local news networks.

With short legs a nasal structure that restricted airflow, Pam had limited stamina and therefore used the Red Mercedes as her primary means of transport.

At the time that video was posted, Pam had but 3,000 followers. She currently boasts 68k – a testament to her inimitable character, voice, and style.

A trend-setter by nature, Pam was inundated with comments and messages from her fans, asking where they could cop her one-of-a-kind jackets, glasses, shoes, and other accessories. As a result, Pam took time out her supremely busy schedule to design a line of apparel for her followers, called

“>Pamwear

Pam’s cultish following inhaled her unique patchwork and color schemes, clearing out the first batch of inventory within  hours of its release.

Pamwear was, and still is, a secret beacon of high fashion. Those who know, know.

Pam even did a collab with her dad’s sponsor, Vans, and sock kingpin Stance

Cultural capital was Pam’s game and she never lost.

The fame did get to Pam’s head from time to time, but what do you expect? She’s a talking canine with a successful fashion line – the first of her kind, as far as we know.

But above all else, and like any good dog, Pam was loyal to her clan.

She loved her daddy Dane. She loved her mama Courtney. With time, she even came to love her siblings: Sammy, Maggie, and Bobbie. Even if they stole her car.

Pam changed the world of fashion, social media, and surfing. But sadly, her life has reached its conclusion.

We will miss her dearly, but Pam’s legacy will never be forgotten.

Here’s a photo and message from Pam’s mom, Courtney (aka @napkinapocalypse)

From Napkin: It happened quickly and were still processing it all but we lost Pam on Saturday.

I noticed she started drinking a lot more water last week so I took her in Wednesday to get checked out. we did a blood and urine test to find she had a bad UTI with her kidney levels elevated. So the assumption was she had a bad bladder infection that spread to her kidneys. she was put on antibiotics and 24 hours later she wasn’t getting better. I took her back in for a recheck and her kidney values had skyrocketed. so either something else was going on or she wasn’t on the right medication. she was taken straight from there to stay the nite at a hospital where she was monitored and given IV fluids and a different injectable antibiotic. The next morning they rechecked her blood and she wasn’t getting any better. The dr did an ultrasound to find her abdomen riddled with cancer that had been empowered by the IV fluids. Even if we could get her to come back from the kidney failure chemo would be our only treatment option and for the type of cancer she had it has a low success rate. in two days her health had decreased to the point where the dr didn’t feel she would return to a quality of life worth living again and we had to let her go.

I didn’t know our last walk would be our last walk. Or that when I took her to the vet that she’d never come home again. I can’t help but think of all she left without knowing. Almost like she had affairs she needed to tie up before she could go. it all happened so fast and I’m not sure I’ve begun to process it all. in a way, it’s a blessing that it came so quickly. it wasn’t a long, drawn-out end. she was running, walking, happy, hunting, herself until 3 days before she died.

please have a drink in her honor tonite, she would have loved it. “live fast die young bulldogs do it well” – Pam we love you

Please leave your condolences below, and take home your own piece of Pam here
