Adyatma eL Rahmit was born on July 21st, 2018 at only 25 weeks, six days, of gestation. His premature birth was due to a case of chorioamnionitis, an infection of the amniotic fluid that affects 3-12% of pregnant women. Possible complications include meningitis and pneumonia.

He was delivered via cesarean birth and has spent the beginning of his life in the neonatal ICU at Rumah Sakit Ibu dan Anak Bunda Hospital in Jakarta, Indonesia.

His mother, Adek, a former employee of Kandui Resorts, is facing crushing medical bills. Adek lacks medical insurance and has been, thus far, unable to attain assistance from the Indonesian Government.

In order for Adyatama to continue receiving the medical care he needs in order to survive the family, via Dr Mario Quitos, head Doctor at Kandui Resort, is asking the public for assistance.

From Kandui Resort:

“Our initial goal was raise $60,000 dollars to cover the projected expenses for Adyatma’s stay in the ICU and to date, we have raised just under $50,000. Adek has been able to pay the first two months of Adyatma’s ICU expenses in full. Now that we are preparing for Adyatma to go home, we have increased our fundraising goal to $75,000. Adyatma is still dependent on supplemental oxygen to breath and will also have some persistent healthcare needs going forward. The goal is to cover all of the remaining hospital ICU costs and also give Adek a small cushion to pay for any future medical expenses that Adyatma is likely to incur.”

In an effort to motivate people to donate Kandui Resort is offering an opportunity to win a trip for two to anyone who donates $50 or more the the GoFundMe Campaign.

“We currently have just over 400 entries (donations) for the Kandui Resort trip for 2. Our last time we gave away a trip to Kandui Resort in 2015, that raffle resulted in 27,000 entries. There has never been a better chance to win a trip to Kandui Resort, all while helping out one of Kandui Resort’s family members. Qualifying for the raffle is simple. Click on the below link for the Go Fund Me page, put in all of your info and make a donation of $50 or more. Each $50 dollar donation buys you 1 ticket to our raffle ($50 = 1 ticket, $100 = 2 tickets, etc). The raffle will be posted to our social media and our winner will be announced on November 30, 2018.”
