In 2024, it still takes the surfing industrial complex some time to get stuff done, despite everyone’s best efforts. Swells pop up, people jump on flights, phones lose cell service, things fall apart, as Yeats wrote. So, a month after we sent out trophies to all our SSOTY 2023 winners, we finally got all the photos back. In the coming weeks, we will be announcing the prizes for 2024’s iteration of Stab’s king and queen-making coronation.
