Stab Highway Europe Presented By Monster Energy, Episode 4

There are only two teams remaining on the Highway.

One’s going straight to the final. The other’s getting run off the road, presumably into a sardine-filled ditch.

In the final region of Stab Highway Europe presented by Monster Energy, our teams will face challenges big (a 3kg platter of meat and cheese), small (the waves, everywhere), and extra medium (McKenzie’s upside-down dangling package).

There are also accusations of filmer abuse, full moon surfs for an amused audience, and a genuinely uplifting ferry wave session.

Then we bring our teams right back to reality with the worst heat ever.

Ever.

Episode 5, the finale, will see two teams compete for the Stab Highway Europe presented by Monster Energy title and our grand prize — a 10-day stay at House of Somos in Costa Rica, where the winning team will surf, relax, and make a signature film for Stab Premium, kinda like this one at Kandui Resort.

This year’s competition will feature 16 surfers broken into 4 teams, each of which has three males and one female (the team captain). 

Over the course of nine days, the teams will drive from Hossegor, France to Lisbon, Portugal (approximately 900 miles/1,400km) while trying to complete 120 surf- and land-based challenges worth varying point values. 

The challenges are broken down into three regions — France, Spain, and Portugal — unless they are one of the five Monster Challenges, which span the entire course of the trip (for a refresher on all the challenges, read here). 

The worst performing teams (based on cumulative point totals) will be eliminated at the end of each region, and the winners will be determined by a surprise final challenge between the two remaining teams.
