A Party, A New Range And A Gallery Of Images To Admire
The Critical Slide cats have a bit on.
It’s likely you’ve swiped past Sebastien Zanella’s work during your daily hand-held procrastinations, if not stopped to pay it a double tap of appreciation. The French lensman has an aesthetic that’s hard not to enjoy. Recently the folk at The Critical Slide Society mailed Seb a care package of wares from their latest range and commissioned the man to meander around with his pals, doing what they do in Biarritz and click frames for their Half Tone lookbook. What he came up with is a gallery of imagery worth sharing and a solid argument as to why lifestyle product photography rules over its studio-based counterpart.
In remotely-related news, the TCSS clan, The Sunball Machine and their artistic entourage are throwing a party (tonight actually, September 16th – how timely). They’re calling in surf-inclined artists Ozzy Wright, Rad Dan, Kentaro Yoshida, Jim Mitchell, Simon Perini, Matt Waters and more to exhibit a selection of work at the Lord Gladstone Hotel in Sydney for ‘A Trip To The Moon’. Between sips of your favourite toxin, the Third Eye Stimuli DJs will twirl vinyl before The Ruminaters steal your attention on stage. Now back to that gallery…
