Gabriel Medina Joins Mason Ho’s Satanic Rock Cult

In this second installment of Mason Ho’s 12 days of Christmas, (he’ll be dropping videos daily on his YouTube through the holidays), our protagonist brings his fellow Rip Curl team members to a reef so shallow and urchin infested, you’ll need a pair of steel-toed boots just to get off the shoreline. Or at least some tennis shoes or slides, as demonstrated by Mason and Crosby ( 5:29 ).

The most notable inclusion in this clip is 3x World Champ Gabriel Medina, who takes a cautious yet deft approach to the exposed rock shelf. This is perhaps the least confident we’ve ever seen Gab look on a surfboard, but he still manages to snag a couple of the day’s deepest tubes.

The wave of the day goes to Mason (naturally), but Sheldon Passion wins the session.

Fun fact: The Lost ‘96 Round Nose Fish that Mason rides here was his first one, as he confesses in his infamous ding report at the end. The raw audio alone in this clip is reason enough to tune in. No Jimmy Hendrix this time, just a healthy dose of pidgin from excitable onlookers.
