Instagram dissolved into a repost echo chamber when Seth Moniz released footage of his wavepool-bound backflip 10 days ago.

This single clip prompted Stab to send two of its tiniest curators – photographer Sam Moody and writer Michael Ciaramella – out to Texas to see what exactly was going on at the Barefoot Ski Ranch. Thanks to a little luck and an unbelievable amount of southern hospitality, the boys were granted access to the pool for a couple of private sessions.

Through further negotiations, and with significant help from BSR’s resident pro and wavepool engineer, Cheyne Magnusson, Stab was able to get two more private sessions, this time for aerial wizards Albee Layer, Barron Mamiya, and Ian Crane. Over the course of of four hours and 200 perfect sections, these boys landed all of the airs you’ll see above plus many, many more.

Welcome to the future of aerial progression.
