Mick Fanning Still Set To Surf J-Bay After Ankle Injury

Mick showed up to J-Bay early, had his first surf since the attack then a few days later tweaked his ankle on a botched cutty. There’s been a lot of speculation about Mick not competition in the J-Bay event, we heard about it when it happened but didn’t want to make the speculative “maybe” won’t surf call. It’s four days prior to the waiting period and according to Mick, he’s looking all set to compete. “Hopefully we’ll just strap it up, paddle out and go from there.”
