Wyatt McHale Drops His Inaugural Hawaii Clip

Growing up as a surfer on the North Shore, there’s a lot of pressure to succeed. When you’ve watched John John Florence honing his skills on the very same reef and sand, any excuse for mediocrity seems sheer if not entirely threadbare. Some of the world’s best and scariest waves reside within a 7-mile stretch, right on your doorstep. It’s your job, as a literal child, to decide what to do with them.  

Sixteen-year-old Wyatt McHale just showed us what he’s working with. 

In this three-minute clip, Wyatt demonstrates his homecourt advantage in conditions small, medium, and large. We get an air-game appetizer, a trou normand of turns, followed by a steaming barrel buffet.
