Don’t Call It a Swimsuit

This Seea one piece is so much more than that.

I like to think that I’m good at manifesting things…

Style: Seea Lido One Piece

Color: Jazzberry

Price: $140

From dream jobs to parking spaces, the Universe and I have collaborated on countless occasions to materialize my daydreams, both major and mundane. Right in the middle of that spectrum of life significance is something I’ve long desired to find: a warm water surf suit that looks as good as it feels and feels like absolutely nothing. Something snug yet lightweight that lets in some sun while maintaining that cat-suit-like, I-can-do-anything feeling (you know the one?).

Well, on behalf of the Universe and myself – and the deft and tasteful design minds at Seea – I’d like to take full credit for the earthly realization of the Lido One Piece. You’re welcome.

(Kidding!!!)

But, in all seriousness, this lovely wetsuit/swimsuit hybrid supplies all of the security and coverage you want without any of the restriction or binding that can sometimes come with neoprene. Thin enough for hot, tropical, or summer days, thick enough to feel like you have a light, protective layer between yourself and the sand or scary reef below.

A minimalist-slash-retro aesthetic and curve-flattering color-blocking adds further allure but what makes this little number sing is the plunging V-back design, bringing all the drama (and a sexy tan line) to the party.

Favorite Features:

  • Modest cuts at the neck and bootie, balanced out with the deep V-back, invite just the right amount of sun in.
  • A raw, unstitched edge at each armhole is designed to reduce chafing. Catch those waves!
  • The multiple-layered C-Skin fabric – made from a blend of recycled polyester and spandex – gives up to 50+ UPF, meaning longer surfs, less sunburn, and fewer virgin materials used.

Overall: The thickness of the C-Skin fabric is perfect for warm water surfs. The simple but thoughtful cuts and waistline-loving color-blocking further elevate a timeless, clean design. Most importantly, however, the modest cuts on top and bottom leave you to focus solely on surfing, with a deep V in the back for some extra Vit. D. To me, this feels like something Linda Benson may have worn (might still wear?) in her heyday, and we all know that’s a good thing.

Note: Cori is 5’7, 120 lb., wearing size Small top and bottoms.
