Australian goofyfoot Coby Perkovich has just released a frugally funded clip, donning his own hand-shaped knives, with filmmaker Dan Scott behind the lens. Beyond the qualifiers of a nonexistent budget and self-shaped foam, can we take a moment to appreciate the raw surfing talent of this dude? Like, have you ever heard of Coby Perkovich? Unless you’re an Aussie core-lord the answer is probably no, so the question then becomes, how the hell is Coby doing bigger, better airs than most established pros? Dan Scott, Coby’s trusted cameraman, told Stab:“The clip is purely hype, nothing fancy with editing, we really just wanted to showcase his surfing ability. We are working on an extended video to release over the next few months, diving into his upbringing and his life at large.”
