Vans x Rit Era Classic Trunks

Vans have teamed up with Rit – a dye company – to hatch the Vans x Rit Era Trunks, a new line which, fittingly, has Dane Gudauskas as the face of the campaign. Vans are obviously well known for the copious amounts of customised shoes they produce. So, since they gots an apparel line now, why not trunks, too? “In the early days of Vans, anyone could walk into their local Vans shop to design their very own pair of custom Vans shoes from a stock of fabrics, prints, materials, and colors,” the company says. “In modern times, this rite of personalisation has fallen to the wayside in favour of mass production. This generic approach created a backlash in the form of the do-it-yourself ethos that defines surfing, skateboarding, and punk rock. The Vans x Rit Era Classic is our effort to once again share our Custom Culture with consumers.
