CO2 heats the earth, which is bad. Mangrove forests suck C02 out of the atmosphere, which is good. 

With this understanding, SeaTrees — a program of non-profit Sustainable Surf, which brought you the ECOBOARD Project — has partnered with renowned artist Yusuke Hanai to create a shirt that will give you that ‘sustainable chic’ look you’ve always failed to execute because, frankly, the clothes you were wearing weren’t planting trees. These ones are.

For every shirt sold SeaTrees will plant 10 mangrove trees in the West Papua region of Indo. According to SeaTrees, mangrove forests are 5-10x more effective at sequestering carbon dioxide than land-based forests, while also creating consistent jobs for locals and habitats for sea life. Nobody loses in this exchange.
