The Rusty x Billabong x Occy ’84 Model
Thirty years ago, a cocky 17-year-old erupted onto the world tour. His backside surfing at J-Bay was, and still is, the best ever seen. He stole spotlight from the era’s most popular surfer, Tom Curren (and even in the American’s home country). And the whole time, Mark ‘Occy’ Occhilupo had a Rusty Preisendorfer surfboard under his feet. It’s now been 30 years since Occy’s electric intro to the surfing world, and to celebrate, Rusty and Billabong present the descendant of Occy’s magic board; an exact replica of the ’84 model, complete with retro Rusty and Billabong logos. It’s an anniversary gift, but also a little slice of history. Because, perfection endures. Dropping July. Keep them peepers peeled.
