Surfing Magazine’s Swimsuit Issue
“Swimsuit issue was shot by photog/artist/musician/husband of Sanoe Lake/all around fine fellow Michael Sterling Eaton,” says Taylor Paul, editor of excellent US publication, Surfing Magazine. “The theme was Past, Present and Future and we shot it on Catalina Island, the Salton Sea and the North Shore of Oahu. The shots we got in Hawaii were ridiculous. It was right around the Backdoor Shootout so Pipe was firing and Michael and James Cane (AKA Jimmy Wilson, who was filming) were getting shots of guys getting blown out of barrels with scantly clad stunners posing in the foreground.” Girls and surfing. A lethal combination and, obviously, one we’re partial to. Dump ’em in a cup of Catalina/Hawaiian juice and swirl, and y’got a pretty dreamy 47 seconds of motion picture.
