Surfer Wants A Wife

Every now and then we see a brief foray into the surfing world by a mainstream medium. Usually, it’s about Kelly Slater, a good-looking surfer gal or big waves. This is kinda about that last one. Almost. See, there’s a TV show in Australia called Farmer Wants A Wife. Basically, a bunch of farmers court city gals in an attempt to find a wife. “Fitzy” and “Wippa”, two men who for whatevs reason have their own radio show in Sydney, recently decided that the concept didn’t always gotta be about farmers. Can you see where this is going? Enter big wave hero Mark Mathews. Brave, charming, single. Mark needs a date (and maybe something more!) for the premiere of his new film, Fighting Fear, which hits cinemas on November 10th. Are you female? Are you that date? Apply within! Here’s what Fitzy and Wippa say: “Listen up Ladies of Sydney! Step away from the icecream ‘cos Fitzy & Wippa might just have your ‘McDreamy’ waiting in the wings for you. Local surfing legend and all round super hunk, Mark Mathews, is single & ready to mingle – but he’s up for something a little more than a disco pash – this Surfer wants to bag himself a wife. When Fitzy & Wippa heard Mark’s story – they figured there’s more than a few top birds in Sydney who could be perfect for him – so they want to help him meet ’em! Listen to your heart, & the call of the waves, and answer the q’s below… You could find yourself on a phone date with Mark, maybe even the real thing – you might even end up being the girl on his arm at the premiere of ‘Fighting Fear’! Who knows what could happen from there! We can smell the love in the air already! And a little bit of salt spray too…” Check out the full story here. [showvideo]
