Photolyfe: Hayden O’Neill
A lensman who digs Kate Bosworth, sashimi and surfing.
Welcome to PhotoLyfe, in which Stab’s favourite photographers answer questions about themselves with their own images. It’s that old picture-tells-a-thousand-words chestnut but with more colour and pop, a way to cut out all the bullshit. It’s like jacking into the main vein of those who supply us with exquisite surf imagery every day. Give thanks by studying each image with a more careful eye than ever!
Today we have the pleasure of introducing a lensman from down under. A man that acquires weird traits such as an obsession with Kate Bosworth, sashimi and surfing. Hayden O’Neill’s work is seen as raw and edgy, documenting people within atmospheres, his unique flair with the sense has an ability to tell timeless stories. He learnt the little things in life are the most paramount thanks to his passion for travel. Hayden first swam out with a little Olympus Point at the age of 16 to shoot pals thrashing the waves at home, now he’s leveraging his shooting knack into a new project, DESFURA, an internationally art focused agency.
