The Indoek Wax Kit is made in collaboration with Todd St. John and totally blows Stab‘s hair back a little bit. Indoek’s statement that there’s “no resource more precious in surfing than wax” is certainly accurate, so why not house it with some panache? “We have always wanted a beautiful and functional case to hold our sticky bars,” says Indoek. “So we collaborated with our friend, Todd St John, to create our own version of a wax kit. This unique design is reminiscent of surfboard shaping planes.” Some might find the small parcel of wood unnecessary, but it ain’t just a pretty face. It’s also functional. “The container well is approximately 2.75 inches and is a perfect fit for most circular wax moulds, but also fits some rectangular shapes. The comb tines are on the bottom edge and the scraper is a detachable lid that is seamlessly held in place by two magnets.” They’re hand-made, they’re durable and sustainable, are designed with minimal waste, and have a naturally waxy, smooth texture that blends the wax residue without a mess.
