Iggy Pop Joins Billabong For A Punk Renaissance Collection

The Iggy Pop x Billabong LAB collection will rock your fucking socks off.

Seeing aged rock stars is always a bit strange. The energy is still there, the hair is still there, judging by their slender physiques either drugs or marathon-style sex is still there, but boy do they look timeworn. There’s only so many wild years in a man before his body starts to fall apart limb by limb.

Iggy Pop of the Stooges turned 70 this year and can you believe it? The Godfather of Punk, 70. That’s both amazing and scary. The man has done so much, you’d think he’d have died from exhaustion by now. Turns out he’s very much alive and very much still doing things. For instance, Iggy just released his new clothing collection with Billabong.

The threads are mostly monochromatic with a dash of purple, pink, and yellow for flavor. We wouldn’t call the apparel loud, but it certainly makes a statement. The boardshorts scream “Watch the fuck out, my fins are on fire!”, while the shirts have a more subtle “Yeah, I can party” vibe about them.

Hop in line behind us and pick up the new merch here.
