Watch: Robbie Merrell Treats Indo Like A Trampoline

Going to Indo for tubes is so archaic. Tired. Cliché. Gerry Lopez went to Indo for tubes like… 200 years ago. He also rode those tubes to max capacity, making all attempts to follow in his footsteps fairly impotent.

But there is something else you can do in Indo… something nobody’s done before. It includes surfing Indo’s shittiest waves at their windiest times, but hey, at least it’s novel.

I’m talking, of course, about doing airs. Big airs, small airs, all airs are good airs, especially because no one, before Robbie Merrell in the clip above, had ever gone to Indo for airs. Good on ya Robbie!

*EDIT*: I don’t know how I missed this, but apparently several people have gone to Indo for airs. Some middling punters include: John John Florence, Jordy Smith, Julian Wilson, Chippa Wilson, Lee Wilson, Wilson the Volleyball, and potentially hundreds more.  

…But what if you went to Indo for cutbacks!
