It was a beautiful day in Hawaii.

Dead winds, blue skies, plenty of surf on tap. The type of day you’d hate spend indoors. The type of day you’d never expect a murder to occur in broad daylight hours.

As reported by a local news source and the entire Coconut Wireless, a woman by the name of Thelma Boinville was killed while cleaning a rental property. From K5 News:

Police are searching for two suspects after a woman was brutally murdered at a North Shore home on Thursday afternoon.

Sources say the victim, identified as Thelma Boinville, was cleaning a rental home on Ke Iki Road and was there with her juvenile daughter.

The girl was found tied up, but was otherwise uninjured.

“They tied up my daughter and they beat my wife to death with a baseball bat,” said the victim’s husband, Kevin Emery. “They won’t even let me in the house because it’s so bad.”

Sources also told Hawaii News Now that the woman was found by people who were supposed to be staying in the home.

Police were called to the scene about 3 p.m., and an all points bulletin has gone out for the suspects.

A description of the suspects was not immediately, but the two might be driving the victim’s gold Toyota Tacoma with license plate number KWN 344. Family members say the pickup truck has some rust.

Homicide investigators are at the scene.

The alleged suspects

The North Shore community is in utter shock at this terrible event. According to longtime North Shore lensman, Brian Bielmann, this type of thing is extremely uncommon on this part of the island – like it never happens. That the suspect is still on the run only adds to the horror.

Stab gives its deepest condolences to the Boinville family and friends, and please, if you’re in the area, look out for the suspect’s car but most of all be careful. A person capable of beating a mother to death with a baseball bat is capable of anything.

UPDATE: The suspects have been found and arrested
