A Day Out And Night In With Dane Reynolds
Scenes from “The Electric Surfboard Acid Test’s” shaper’s night and Former’s New York residency.
With Dane Reynolds and a small mob in town for the Brooklyn premiere of The Electric Acid Surfboard Test, we took the opportunity to double-down for our jaunt East from Los Angeles.
After a full-day banging around Brooklyn with Dane—keeping hangovers at bay with literal pint-sized margaritas before a tour of Pilgrim’s new offices in the Navy Yard, directly across from Billion Dollar Supreme‘s sprawling three-floor headquarters—Stab dragged all ten boards over from House of Vans, for the premiers of Stab’s profile series on all ten shapers who put boards under Dane’s feet, and to tip back a few cans of Sunday Beer Company Tight and Lights celebrating the first day of Former’s month-long New York residency at Pilgrim.

By 8pm, the shop and back patio were a hive, Tanner and Dane Gudang rolling in on a good one, coming back from a divine Jamaican feast at SoHo’s Miss Lilly’s, as guests squeezed in to watch get a look at the ten short films Sam Moody directed, which will be dropping here next month. By 10pm the party was headed down the street to radegast Hall for some German beers to put the nail in the coffin of the two-day bender.
Scroll south for a look at the night, and make sure to stop in to see Former’s pop-up at Pilgrim, which closes next month.
Thanks to everyone who’s come out for the premieres so far. With The Electric Acid Test’s New York run, we’ll be announcing premieres with our friends at AwayCo, and gearing up for our final stop in France on October 5th.
The Former residency goes through September 15th.
