A Record Release Party Worth Attending
TCSS drop surf garage banger ‘Strange Brew’.
Showing a bit of (needed) love for the independent music scene, The Critical Slide Society clan have linked up with Sydney record label, The Sunball Machine to press a record full of surf-coloured garage tunes. The 12 inch release, ‘Strange Brew’ features The Grease Arrestor, The Ruminaters, Hockey Dad, Bleeding Knees Club, The Gooch Palms, The Jim Mitchells and The Abigails – a mix of artists with similar flavours and no more than one degree of separation.
Available exclusively through thecriticalslidesociety.com, surstitch.com and swell.com in the US.
The TCSS cats are also going to put on an old fashion release party in celebration. There’ll be live vibrations from a few of the record’s artists, with the whole deal kicking off around 7pm at the George Hotel on Elizabeth St, Redfern. You don’t need to pay a cent for entry or the charming refreshments of Capital Brewing Company and Batlow Cider.
Entry is limited. So if you’re thirsty, Stab recommends you arrive on time.
