Here’s a question no one likes to hear. What would the ten-year-old version of yourself think of you today? Did you become the pro surfer you promised you would be? Or the award-winning auteur you envisioned the first time you flicked on a handy cam? The Pulitzer-winning journalist you imagined after penning your first diary entry?

Unfortunately, the answer to those questions rings no. But it’s not too late to escape life beneath fluorescent lights in a cubicle. The good gents at Volcom are looking for 15 people who’re ready to turn their passion into a paycheck.

It could be going gonzo at the Tahiti Pro, doing skull-drags with the world’s best and getting paid to write about it. Or, it could be manning the lens on a far-flung French beach, taking time between shots to slide under a few peaks yourself and turning a profit off the footage. Whatever your obsession, Volcom will provide the direct deposit.

Applying is easy, and all you have to do is answer two questions. First, what’s your “this?” Second, what would it mean to you to put #ThisFirst? Once you have your answer, send it through an Instagram video with the required hashtags specified below. Or a photo or video on Volcom’s Facebook post promoting the comp including the same hashtags. Not into socials? Then feel free to upload your answers directly onto the easiest job application you’ll ever do in your life.
