The Splendour In The Grass 2016 Lineup Is Kinda Brilliant

Australia’s best festival delivers… again.

Ever been to Splendour In The Grass? It is, without a doubt, Australia’s best festival. It’s intoxicating, cosmic, muddy, and everything you could possibly hope a music festival on Australia’s north coast would be. Much like Monocle in the print game or Spotify in the music biz, while the festival industry in Australia keeps heading south, Splendour gets better each year. Best of all, it’s in Byron Bay, so you can steer a step-down through a bright blue sand-bottom setup in the morning, and then go enjoy the golden light into the evening.

Then, of course, there’s the music. This year’s line up curation really is something. The Strokes, The Cure, The Avalanches and At The Drive-In make up the creme Stab would scoop off the top. Then there’s the solid foundation of artists like Santigold, Duke Dumont, The Kills, DMA’s, Hayden James, Jagwar Ma, Roland Tings and way more (see below in full).

Splendour tickets, which are generally the Oz music calendar’s most highly sought-after, go on sale 9am Thursday, April 21. You can scoop a full three-day pass or single day tickets. But, Stab recommends the full experience. You could also do worse than to download the Splendour app, which’ll make life around the festival far more streamlined.

Buy tickets here.
