With a warm embrace, we welcome you back to our totally at random, whenever we feel like it StabFM Office Mixes. In the spirit of resolutions that mean nothing by the end of week one, we’ve put together a list designed for getting wet no matter how cold, big, windy, pumping, or downright septic the surf in front you may be.

These are tunes that our office has collectively gathered, songs we keep on heavy rotation as we make our way to the shore. The songs that leave verses reverberating around our heads as we either paddle the conveyor or gaze into the horizon on a waist-high, windblown day. A playlist for days that have drug you down, or propped you up to the point the only thing you can do is submerge in salt and stroke out your pent up aggression, sorrows, or ecstasy.

Here’s our pre-surf playlist featuring everything from punk to new wave, groove to thrash to metal to something a little thuggish. Tunes that go with coffee at dawn, or get you ready to finally dust off that eight-foot pintail you bought yourself two years ago, so you could, and we quote, “Have no excuses.”

In our fifth office playlist, we are all about the spice of life –  the big V. This list features the likes of Man Man, The Peep Temple, Rob Zombie, Pixies, Mobb Deep, Cake, DIIV, Brian Eno, King Gizz, Misfits, Fuzz, Jay Reatard, Buzz Kull, Morning Teleportation, NIN, David Bowie, Modest Mouse, Bad Brains, The B-52’s, Fuzz, Todd Terje, The Jim Mitchells and so much more.

Throw it on before you rinse… or don’t, and leave a comment below criticizing our oh, so pious ears!
