Watch: The Most Barreled 11-Year-Old That Has Ever Lived

Makes sense, kid grew up on Kandui Island.

‘All Day’ Dylan Wilcoxen is the 12-year-old* son of ‘All Day’ Ray Wilcoxen, lifetime tube addict and owner-operator of Kandui Resort.

Dylan’s life is like no other pre-teen’s. He spends every day bouncing between the multitude of world-class waves that surround his little surf haven, from Kandui Left, Rifles, and Pistols on his home island of Karangmajat, over to Hideaways, Bank Vaults, and Pitstops on the neighboring isles. Occasionally Dylan makes the trek over to Macaronis or HT’s for a swell, but there’s generally no need. If those spots are good, so is somewhere close to home.

Surfing waves of this caliber on a daily basis, paired with hours of watching JJF and Mason Ho clips on Youtube, has given Dylan the ability to read and negotiate tubes far beyond his age. It reminds us of another 12-year-old who cemented his name in perfect Indonesian chambers…

While Dylan’s clip above is impressive, the truth is, you can’t fully appreciate his talents until you’ve seen them (or more often, not seen them) live and in person. While you’re sitting out the back for The One, Dylan’s already got five crazy runners on the inside. Then he somehow manages to be the only person in position when the wave of the day comes in. It’s incredible, demoralizing, and frankly quite annoying. This kid has more tube time at 12 than most of us will in our lifetimes. And it’s only gonna go up from here.

*Dylan was 11 when this video was filmed.
