Twice cited by Australia’s Surfing Life magazine as “the best free-surfer in the world,” Margo, born in Sydney, but raised in the bucolic Northern Rivers, built his career arresting eyeballs with his silky railwork and incredible freesurf parts. 

“I was on a boat trip six months before Banda Aceh earthquake 2004 and I was lucky enough to surf the waves in the area before they changed or disappeared, Azure being one of them which is featured in the footage,” says Margo. “I was there shooting for a movie ‘Freeway’ which had so much additional footage that a lot of it ended up on the cutting room floor… Years past and video cameras went from tape to digital, but this was one of the best surf trips for waves and company that I’d ever done, Exploring with Dylan Longbottom and Rasta.”
