Watch: Nate Florence’s First Self-Released Film, “There And Back Again”

After 20-odd years of being known as “John’s little brother”, Nate Florence took a massive leap forward in 2018, chasing every swell, paddling beneath every ledge, winning the Wave of the Winter, and emerging at number six on the Stab Surfer of the Year poll as a result. 

While we saw plenty of his highlights across Instagram, Nate felt it necessary to tie his travels together in one comprehensive piece that, according to the film’s protagonist, is half cinema and half personality. This is a typically difficult pair to blend, but we think Nate and the production team at Parallel Sea have done it masterfully.

The result of their labors, titled “There and Back Again,” can be found above. It’s also premiering right now at The Bungalow in Huntington Beach, but if you’re reading this you’re certainly too late for that.
