Watch: Julian Wilson Is Back On His Young Boy Shit

Think he’s ready for the tour to start?

There are few surfers on Tour better suited to the upcoming four-event Australian swing than Julian Wilson.

While Jules has notched two of his five career victories in the tube (Pipe/Tahiti), the remaining three he won wiggling it out in waves not dissimilar to what we’re about to see in Australia (Snapper/France/Portugal). With the majority of tour surfers being kept under lock and key, this is a situation where time may very well equal money—or more importantly, points—during what could very well be one of Julian’s last solid runs at a title.

With Snapper and Bells off the market, Julian has clearly made the decision to sharpen both sides of his fresh JS blades (he’s been playing with tail variations of Occy’s latest Raging Bull model). There is nothing quite like a Julian Wilson backside roter ala 1:40, and as for the big-spin at :27? Downright silly. No one does that move as good as Jules, not even close.

Click above to watch Julian indulge in two weeks at home on the Sunny Coast, and don’t be surprised if he exits this leg with an event win and some solid momentum heading into the (DUN DUN DUN) finals day. Julian at Lowers? Yikes!
