Watch: Jack Robinson Wastes No Parts Of The Buffalo
Five minutes from Western Australia’s finest.
Jack Robinson spent most of 2020 at home in Western Australia. This is unusual for Jack, who’s been traveling nine months a year for the past decade in pursuit of surfing exposure and excellence. Ironically, many of the best waves in the world reside just miles from his doorstep.
Jack made the most of his time at home, scoring swell after swell at all the known haunts plus some that shan’t be named. Clips captured during this time were designated primarily for his Snapt4 part, which will finally premiere (see info here) in just over a week. But with only three minutes allowed for his section, Jack had waaaaaay too many waves in the A-clip folder. Some went to previous Snapt4 B-roll edits, others went to Lobotomy, and somehow he’s still sitting on a treasure-trove of A-grade unseen footy.
But Jack doesn’t like to waste any part of the buffalo, so today he’s releasing the last of his clips from 2020 in a five-minute love letter to WA. If the backside banger at 1:07 and the tube to oop at 2:00 didn’t make it into his final section, well, you do the math (hint: it’s around $50k).
PS. A piping plover told us that there are only 70 tickets remaining for Snapt4’s official premiere on September 25. They already had to increase the venue size once, but we doubt they’ll do it again. So if you don’t want to miss the surf party of the summer (or early autumn), get yours now!
