Watch: Gabriel Medina Ping Pongs Off Brazil’s Most Exclusive Pool Coping Before Lemoore
‘The waves at Boa Vista Village are so extravagant, they come with their own personal valet to comb their crests!’
“I will go out tonight for sure, but I don’t want to party too hard because I like this momentum,” Gabby told fans after winning Margaret River.
Currently sitting in 7th heading into an event he has won before, it’s not inconceivable that Gabs carries his brute form, wins multiple events in the back half of the season, and towels up whoever he needs to beat on Finals Day for his fourth World Title.
No surprises Brett Simpson has pegged him as a favorite to win in Lemoore.
This was shot on May 19th, all within five hours. Filmmaker Bruno Zanin asked to bring along Arthur Villar – a gnarly 11 year talent in the good graces of multiple Brazilian world champs.
Re: the pool.
The Boa Vista Village in Sao Paulo will be a luxury real estate complex with residential facilities and a very fancy hotel. “It’s gonna be a private pool for the neighborhood and the hotel at Boa Vista Village. It’s not gonna be open to the public unless you stay at the hotel. It’s a huge project going on,” Evan Geiselman told Stab.
The price of staying at the ‘Surf Lodge Hotel’ is yet to be confirmed, however, the grand opening of Boa Vista is ‘imminent’ according to one American Wave Machine employee.
The new pool is huge. Twice the size of Waco or PerfectSwell’s Japanese pool and also has the biggest menu of settings. The double air wave has aptly been named “The DoubleShot.”
According to the PerfectSwell team, there will also be a “variety of a-frame waves, long drainers, new Lowers type waves, and other combinations for the Boa Vista residents and hotel guests to enjoy.”
