Watch: Eithan Osborne Is A Clip Machine

“Suspended License” was filmed over a few days at home and is well worth your time.

Eithan (pronounced “Aye-tawn”) Osborne is a surfer that is, and has been, stopping thumb scrolls in our recent browser history. Back in September, we invited him to our Stab High event. Eithan tweaked and hopped into the finals with the likes of Chippa Wilson, Noa Deane, Mason Ho, Ian Crane and the prepubescent, Eli Hanneman. Eithan finished fourth over all and took the $20k prize for sticking the biggest air of the event.

We’d heard for some time about the kid from Ventura. Our in house filmer, Sam Moody aka Clubmedsucks, has been pushing Eithan’s surfing on us for a while now. And, more than occasionally, the second half of Dane Reynold’s revered Marine Layer Productions, Jason “Mini” Blanchard, will shoot us clips from whenever Mr. Osborne is at home, stating, “It’s always worth bringing out the camera when Eithan’s around, you never know what he might stick!”

The gent recently won his first QS in Israel. He qualified for the WSL air tour in France last year. And, well, his momentum is akin to a downhill jog (that’s somehow going up!). This short, “Suspended License”, was shot over a few days around home in Ventura before Eithan jumped a flight to Hawaii for the recent pulse of Pacific power. The 18-year-old’s getting around and we’re backing it. In an era of refined, buttoned up surfing, it’s refreshing to see a Californian just fucking thrash.

Hit play!
