Watch: Dane Reynolds Rips The Bag Out Of Mex On A “Green” Twinny!
A look at the Corona x Parley “promo board” Gary McNeill slipped onto the Electric Acid Surfboard Test trip!
When Stab filmer Dylan Roberts showed up to LAX on the eve of our departure for The Electric Acid Surfboard Test, the young Australian was dragging an unidentified daybag behind him, with a board he’d been instructed to slip into the mix during filming.
At the J-Bay Open, Gary McNeill shaped a handful of his Taurus Twins for the Corona Highline heat, for Jordy Smith, Wilko, Johanne Defaye, and Silvana Lima, all in “certified Gold ECOBOARD” construction, part of Corona’s ongoing partnership with Parley, featuring things like fins made from recycled plastic, biodegradable resin, etc. After the event, knowing we were taking Dane somewhere spicy, Corona tossed Stab one of the J. Bay boards just in case Dane wanted to try one out for, you know, the hell of it..

However, while the rest of the boys on the Acid Test trip frothed on the board, Dane had his hands full with the ten kandy-koloured numbers he was tasked with making sense of.
That is until the Taurus Twin Gary had shaped specifically for him blew a rudder during its first session, leaving Dane with just a taste of what it was capable of. Seeing how much fun everyone was having on the Corona x Parley Taurus Twin, Dane nabbed it for a quick few waves one afternoon and fireworks endued.
Upon returning from the trip, Dane messaged Stab‘s Sam McIntosh, instructing him simply to: steal that board.
It hasn’t been seen since…
After the original Taurus Twin’s test run was cut short, Dane was quick to find the gears on the Corona x Parley collaboration.
