Watch: Caroline Marks Enjoys Tahitian Birthday Barrel Bender In “Isolation”

The Tahiti part of this short from Caroline Marks was filmed on the 2018 Rookie of the Year’s 18th birthday mission. 

“I’d never been, and we got such good waves, everything was new, we didn’t know what to expect,” Caroline tells Stab. “We went for my birthday, February 14th—I’m a love child [laughs] I’m a love child.

“I turned 18 there. The first day I got heatstroke, I couldn’t even see straight, just surfed my brains out. It was crazy. But the waves were too good.”
