Watch: 150 Seconds Of Blood-On-Fire Rail Footage
Micah Margieson visits Mexico.
Micah Margieson’s hometown of Cabarita is under siege.
Two attacks within two months, both on unsuspecting locals, both surviving, it seems, by pure luck alone. The sharks were out for blood.
“Cabarita has to be the sharkiest spot in Australia right now,” Micah says, referencing the recent near-miss with Brad Ross, whose board now bears a perfect outline of a shark’s mouth, missing an almost comically precise chunk that had some people questioning if it was a staged ploy to scare off crowds.
When we reached out to Brad for comment, he kept it short. “I’m still trying to process everything. But it’s real.”
Luckily for Micah, and for those who enjoy watching him surf, he’s been on the road, far from his hometown of Cabarita. Bali first, then California, and then a quick strike down to Mexico, where this edit was born.
When we last spoke, Micah told me there’s nothing more satisfying than “big turns and heavy metal.” The metal’s toned down a bit here, but he still turns a surfboard like a pitbull unleashed after a lifetime of being kicked in a cage.
Two and a half minutes of pure fury. Well worth your time
