The Vans Triple Crown is going digital this year.

That means, even moreso than in years past, anyone can win. Anyone entered in the event, that is.

At time of writing, the men’s side of the draw is completely full. You can, however, still submit an application to be an alternate here. If someone pulls out, you might get in.

Not to deter you, but some of the known entrants include: John Florence, Kelly Slater, Italo Ferreira (who was apparently one of the first sign-ups—the guy just doesn’t stop!), and a whole slew of local renegades.

On the women’s side, there are just a few spots left. Which is why we’re here to remind you that the registration deadline is this Saturday, 11:59 HST.

As Nathan Fletcher said, “The progression in surfing right now is with the women.” And he couldn’t be more right. If the performances we’ve seen from our Vans Stab High Ladybirds haven’t convinced you, how about the fact that Pipeline has been teeming with females of late? Many of them still in their teens!

Here’s a reminder of what the men and women will be battling for in the Digital VTCS:

There’s a $30,000 prize purse for each location that will be allocated to the men and women who place 1st – 5th place. (15k for men, 15k for women)

1st – $5,000 / 2nd – $4,000 / 3rd – $3,000 / 4th – $2,000 / 5th – $1,000

There’s a $100,000 prize purse for overall VTCS Champions ($50k men, $50k women)

So sign up and maybe fatten your wallet.
