Waimea River Pumps – “This Is The Best I’ve Ever Seen It!”
JOB takes us to his favorite local novelty.
As you read this, dozens of Hawaiian residents and visitors are waxing up their 6’8s, 7’10s, and 9’6s for the second major swell of this year’s North Shore season.
Meanwhile, Jamie O’Brien is probably riding a soft-board down a drainage pipe or kayaking off a cliff.
It’s just what he do.
Considering his love of novelty pleasures, there should be no surprise that JOB was on-location for last week’s Waimea blowout. And no, we’re not talking about the swell that brought the Bay to near-Eddie proportions. We’re talking about the rivermouth blowing-out and producing the biggest standing waves in recent memory.
According to Jamie, it was the best he’d ever seen it (“Three to four foot faces!”).
