The “Waggy” tale of Noah Wegrich
“I don’t ever want to grow up and I like ice cream and unicorns,” is what Waggy tells Stab when we ask him what he wants the bloodthirsty public to know. Noah’s a 22 year-young kid out of Santa Cruz and his surfing’s been popping up more and more as of recent. He’s refreshingly whimsical. Surfing’s all fun, as it should be. “I’m over in Ireland filming for this movie,” he says. “It’s been an experience, there’s been plenty of weird stuff. We’ve been driving a lot, endless hours in the car when it’s too stormy to surf where we’re staying. It’s been fun just cranking some music, then next thing you know someone has their ass out the window. We’ve just been pounding beers in the front seat and seeing who can shot-gun the fastest in the rental car. Just anything to make the car rides go by faster.” “I don’t really know about the video much,” says Waggy in regards to the mini-profile cut above. “I haven’t seen it yet. But I just want to say ‘what up’ and put out some surfing.” Waggy whips north while the birds fly south for the winter. Photo: Steve Morissette “I think rock drops are super cool,”- Waggy.
