Welcome back to the Pick-Up, Stab x Vans’ weekly variety show airing every Wednesday, shot on location on the North Shore of Oahu for the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing.

Ahhh the return of the Stab Pick Up, a weekly show covering all things Vans Triple Crown. An all-access pass to everything happening behind the scenes on the North Shore. Refreshing media relief for all of us simpletons, not currently wiggling our toes in the sand of surfing’s mecca.  Danny Johnson alongside co-hosts Holly Wawn and Harry Bryant take us for a deep dive into this week’s episode, let us divulge.

An all-digital Vans Triple Crown

The Vans Triple Crown has gone digital for the first time in history. Each surfer will submit 2 free surfing clips from Haleiwa, Sunset Beach, and Pipeline. Taking away the time constraints of heats and opening the doors to all those who wish to enter. Even Harry Bryant thinks he could swing a win, but only if Koa Rothman grants him access to a set wave at Pipe. Harry also decided to challenge Kelly Slater to a particular aerial maneuver on the end section at Pipe.

The judging panel got a makeover as well. This year’s Triple Crown will account for style and creativity that usually gets overlooked in a traditional contest format. The prize purses will be the same for men and women.

Kittens and Lions

Jamie O’Brien dropped in on John John Florence yet again, re-establishing the fact that he will forever be the world champ’s bully. We came to the conclusion that they are both kittens for the scratch match over a “four-foot” wave.

The lions for this week include Nathan Florence, Griffin Colapinto, and Betty Lou Sakura Johnson for their lion-esque tube riding performances.

Statistically speaking Jack Robinson is the most likely to win The Triple Crown

Jack Robbo has pooled together more QS wins in Hawaii than any other surfer over the past 5 years. His extensive track record at Haleiwa, Sunset Beach, and Pipeline doesn’t guarantee a win, but they sure make Robbo a safe bet.

We won’t spoil everything, check out the rest on this week’s episode of The Pick Up, presented by Stab and Vans.
