The Namibia Of North Carolina
Brett Barley finds tubes and snowmen in the East.
Cape Hatteras, North Carolina had an awe inspiring run of swell in January.
Brett Barley was on hand to pick the ripe fruits which Winter Storm Grayson was offering along North America’s East Coast early in the new year and this latest clip features the best of the best.
A video which adds to the piling mound of visual evidence that the East Coast is now better than the West; a debate brewing after the West Coast’s relatively lacklustre winter this past-season.
“There was too much footage to cram into 1min instgram edits, or 1 short youtube video. So here’s 10min of lefthand tubes spent at my homebreak. If you don’t enjoy watching barrel after barrel, then don’t hit play… but if you care to sit down to a feast of below sea level grinders from both my perspective, and that of Jeffrey O’Neil (filming)” – Brett Barley on this icy pipe sessions.
Next time a swell hits the East Coast of the US then you know where Brett Barley will be, probably don’t bring your girlfriend along though – unless she’s into frostbite and building snowmen.
