Stab High Condensed Into A 45-Minute World Of X-Games Special
Come inside for The Ladybirds, the commentariat, judges, and highlights from our favorite surf event. Admittedly, we’re a little biased.
For our sophomore year at Stab High, World of X Games put together a condensed version/documentary of the event. In August it aired on American television and today they’ve released the episode online. You can watch it above.
Inside you’ll find highlights from each heat. Interviews with the surfers, and judges, highlights from the commentary team starring the likes of Dane Reynolds, Christian Fletcher, Dooma Fahrenfort, Vaughan “Deadly” Blakey, Todd Richards and more.
You can watch the first all-girl air comp to ever take place, The Stab High Ladybirds (21:00). And, gaze into the storm that resulted in our clearing of the water at the end of the final (43:20).
Chippa Wilson won the event. Sierra Kerr took out the Ladybirds Division. Cam Richards won $20k for punting the highest air of the event and Kevin Schulz won the Freak Peak challenge (which didn’t get to run the day of the event due to the lightning storm). But really, everyone was a winner!
