Sometimes You Have To Slow Down To Speed Up

You might be wondering what the fuck that title means. 

Fair enough. Sounds like utter gibberish, I’ll admit. But think about it for a second: twin fins are faster than thrusters, but in order to ride them properly, you’ve gotta moderate your rhythm on the wave.  

Case in point: Noa Mizuno in his newest short, “Joyride”, which is likely not a flattering ode to my own board-test series, but rather a reference to the dopamine that coursed through Noa’s brain whilst riding an alternative quiver in terribly fun surf.
