Soft Tops At Pipe, Wave Pool Complexities, And That Pesky Ballistic Missile

While the Volcom Pipe Pro was in full swing, a surf media extravaganza took place in the backyard of the Volcom house.

All the food groups were represented: Chris Binns of Surfing Life, Trav Ferré of What Youth, Vaughan Blakey of Surfing World, Chris Cote stopped by from the sadly deceased Transworld Surf and this whole “Other Guys” ordeal is presented here on Stab.

Oh, what fun!

So, while a two-story scaffolding was electric with the primal energy of this primetime Pipeline event. A few backyards down were the “Other Guys.” A totally irreverent take on the Volcom Pipe Pro. No post heat interviews here, just loosely surf based discussion.

Over cocktails, pineapples and three hours of live streaming, Jamie O’Brien, Kalani David, Balaram Stack, Chris Cote, Finn Thunders McGill and Vaughan Blakey stopped by to talk all things not related to the contest at hand.
