Skimboards, Softies, And Surfboards On (Near) Dry Sand

What distinguishes surfing from those other aquatic bastardisations? Is it having a fibreglass board? At least one fin? Or is it just standing up on a planing object on wave? There’s no hard and fast rule for what demarcates proper surfing from the rest. And this video is a prime example: it’s filled with all sorts of shit in good waves. 

Brad Domke’s still flinging about on his skimboard. Blair Conklin refuses to admit foamies aren’t good for tubes. And there’s even a couple old school bewgs lingerings between the HP Pro’s that are Kolohe Andino and Griffin Colapinto. 

If the above were all just skimming and foamies it would be a borderline post. But given the quality of the waves and the occasional star-studded lineup, we saw it worthy of a post – well, good enough for a Sunday anyway.
