Should Goofyfooters Even Bother Going Right In Indo?
Watch: Sam Piter in ‘Blue Spell.’
I’ve been to Indonesia six times, maybe seven.
Twice — largely against my will —I stayed at Kerama’s. And what a cruel existence, being less than 25 miles from the Bukit and yet so very far away. I should be ashamed of the amount of time I spent hunting down lefts at Car Parks, but I am not.
18-year-old French surfer Sam Piter recently had the trip I/any goofyfooter would dream of. He jumped around a bit, and swell was certainly not an issue. The result is an edit by Arthur Genie called ‘Blue Spell.’
Sam’s the son of former pro surfer and current coach, Didier Piter. However, he proves that he can quite comfortably make a name for himself — specifically with some wonderful surfing both underneath and below the lip.
And for what it’s worth, he does sniff out a hell of a right at 6:04.
Watch now, and dream.
